Fellowship of Deliverance Internet Radio launched in December 2008. It was established by Fellowship of Deliverance International Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Emmitt Overton.

Our mission is to share the uncompromised Word of God, to teach Christians how to operate under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and how to do deliverance by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Mark 16:15 gives us this mandate, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

The deliverance ministry is the work of miracles. I Corinthians 12:10 says, “To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.”

This is the only ministry where 2 kingdoms collide. The manifestation of Jesus exists when people are delivered from evil spirits. Miracles must follow those who are representing Christ. If miracles do not follow, you are operating in another gospel. This is clearly stated in Romans 15:19, “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

When Jesus Christ of Nazareth left the earth, part of his commission was to cast out devils. Therefore, each of us must cast out demons. Yes, there are different levels of casting out demons and some will have a higher anointing. However, we want to reiterate that everyone should do deliverance. Satan has people thinking that only pastors and leaders have the authority to do this. But do not be deceived, if you believe in Jesus, you should cast out demons.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.”

If the deliverance ministry is not in operation in your church, then you should find a deliverance ministry. Read II Corinthians 6:17 which says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

There are three ways to be delivered from demons.

• By reading the Word of God – Matthew 8:16  When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
• Having faith – Mark 7:28-29 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
• By verbal command – Matthew 8:32  And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters

There are two kingdoms according to Matthew 12:26 and Matthew 12:28.

• Satan’s kingdom is in Matthew 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
• God’s kingdom is in Matthew 12:28  But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Both of these kingdoms have power.

1. The power of Jesus’ kingdom is in Luke 10:17 “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” It’s also mentioned in Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
2. Luke 4:6 shows Satan’s power. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

There are three heavens. II Corinthians 12:2   I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

Our conflict is in the second heaven which is in the atmosphere.

Ephesians 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

The deliverance ministry is only for people that have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. You must accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in order for Him to deliver you according to the following Scriptures:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Deliverance is the children’s bread. See Matthew 12:25-28.

Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.  And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

If anyone is casting out demons, we should not stop them from conducting deliverances whether we know them or not.

Mark 9:38-39 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

Anyone not casting out demons could be a false brethren. Philippians 3:18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ.

In other cases, there are Christians who believe that Jesus is the Son of God but do not cast out demons. They may not do so because they may simply lack the knowledge that they are empowered to do so. Our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth gives us this power in Luke 10:19 where He says, ”Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.“

If Christians with the knowledge choose not to cast out demons, then they would become subject to the judgment of God.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel

II Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

There are three things that we must do. We have to cast out demons, preach the gospel and heal the sick.

Mark 3:13-15 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.

We must do exactly what Jesus did.

John 14:11-12 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Hindrances to Deliverance

Although there may be different levels of anointing among believers when conducting deliverances, all believers should cast out devils. However, this is not present in the church due to intellectualism, which brings pride. Pride is a spirit that the Lord warns us about. I Corinthians 1:26 ²⁶For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

God does not want our intellectualism. He wants us to demonstrate the power of His Spirit.

• I Corinthians 2:4 ⁴And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
• Acts 4:13 ¹³Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Intellectualism brings homiletics. Degrees from seminaries bring reasoning and natural interpretation (not spiritual understanding or revelation).

• Romans 8:6 ⁶For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
• I Corinthians 2:14 ¹⁴But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Deliverance is hidden from “the wise and prudent”. Luke 10:21  ²¹In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

This is why deliverance is not taught in the church. Intellectualism is the key problem. It brings the following nine things explored in Derek Prince’s message “Exchange at the Cross”:

1. Theology over Revelation:

Most of the problems of the church today result from exalting human thinking above divine revelation.

What the Bible says:

• I Timothy 1:6-7 ⁶From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; ⁷Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
• II Timothy 3:5-7  ⁵Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. ⁶For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ⁷Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
• Titus 1:11 ¹¹Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
• I Corinthians 1:17 ¹⁷For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect

1. Academic Achievement Over Character:

The church exalts education over moral excellence.  This is nothing but head knowledge which puffs one up.

Whatthe Bible says:

• I Corinthians 2:4 ⁴And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
• Isaiah 5:20-21 ²⁰Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ²¹Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
• Isaiah 30:10  ¹⁰Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
• I Kings 22:23 ²³Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

1. Psychology over Discernment:

This is defined as psychological treatment over a legitimate word of knowledge.  One word of knowledge eliminates a whole lot of psychology.

What the Bible says:

• Luke 9:1 ¹Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
• Luke 10:17 ¹⁷And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

1. Programs Over The Leading Of The Holy Spirit:

This exalts programs above supernatural direction.

What the Bible says:

• Jeremiah 14:14 ¹⁴Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
• Jeremiah 23:1-5 ¹Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. ²Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. ³And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. ⁴And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD. ⁵Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

1. Eloquence Over Supernatural Power:

This exalts homiletics above the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.

• I Corinthians 2:1-2,4 ¹And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. ²For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. ⁴And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1. Human Reasoning Over Faith:

This exalts reasoning above the walk of faith. God doesn’t lead us by reasoning. He leads us step-by-step in a walk of faith. He doesn’t tell us the whole plan of where we are going to go or what is going to happen.  He simply says, “This is the next move.” When we rely on our own reasoning, all we receive is what reason can produce.  As we walk in faith, we have the supernatural confirmation of the Holy Spirit with us.

What the Bible says:

• I Corinthians 1:17 ¹⁷For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
• Titus 1:14,16 ¹⁴Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. ¹⁶They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
• Mark 7:6-8,13 ⁶He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. ⁷Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. ⁸For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. ¹³Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
• Romans 8:6-7,14 ⁶For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ⁷Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  ¹⁴For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1. Laws Over Love:

This exalts legalism above love. What really matters most is faith working through love.  It is not theological faith that majors on doctrinal hairsplitting.

• Galatians 5:6 ⁶For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
• I Corinthians 13:13  ¹³And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
• Matthew 23:3-5  ³All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. ⁴For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. ⁵But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
• Hebrews 6:1 ¹Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

1. Earthly Wisdom vs. God’s Wisdom

• Wisdoms of Words: I Corinthians 1:17 ¹⁷For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
• Wisdom of the Wise: I Corinthians 1:19 ¹⁹For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
• Wisdom of the World: I Corinthians 1:20-22 ²⁰Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? ²¹For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.²²For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
• Wisdom in One’s Own Eyes: Isaiah 5:21 ²¹Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
• Wisdom of Satan/ Earthly: James 3:13-18 ¹³Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. ¹⁵This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. ¹⁶For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. ¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Wisdom of Christ

• Colossians 2:3 ³In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
• Colossians 3:16 ¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
• James 1:5 ⁵If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

1. Works

What the Bible says:

Good Works Titus 1:16 ¹⁶They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Dead Works

• Hebrews 6:1 ¹Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
• Hebrews 9:14 ¹⁴How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Spiritual Works Matthew 7:22-23   ²²Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ²³And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Two key scriptures to know pertaining to curses:

• Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
• Curses do not come without a cause. Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

A curse is a recompense or the effect of sin.
Lamentations 3:64-65 Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.

Curses come on those who do not obey God’s Word.
Deuteronomy 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.

Generational Curses: If our ancestors have sinned (and they have!!), we must renounce their sins and break the generational curses associated with their sins.

• Lamentations 5:7 Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.
• Exodus 20:4-5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Signs of a Curse

1. Poverty and financial difficulty
2. Barrenness and female or reproductive problems
3. Failure, no success
4. Untimely, unnatural deaths
5. Life traumas, continuous crises
6. Mental or emotional breakdown
7. Breakdown of family relationships
8. Spiritual impediment in hearing Gods voice, understanding the Word, or impediments in other areas of spiritual development including praying and spiritual gifts

Jesus Christ of Nazareth became a sacrifice so that we would not be under a curse. However, as believers we must take these rights as Christians and enact them in our lives. Just as we have actively accepted Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we must actively root Satan out of our lives by breaking and his removing his legal rights to our lives.

• Matthew 3:10 says, “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” As believers we must loose the curses from our lives in order to receive the fullness of blessings the Lord has for us.
• Remember what the Word says in Matthew 18:18 “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” We must loose Satan and his demons from our lives on an ongoing basis.

Breaking curses is akin to signing a notice of eviction for Satan and his demons. Unless we enforce the order of eviction, he will remain. Numbers 33:55 says, “But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.”

Satan uses a Christian’s ignorance of God’s Word as an open door of opportunity. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. “

Now that you know more about Satan’s tactics in regards to curses, it is imperative for you to get the devil out of your life.

• II Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
• II Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

There are different types of curses that Satan and his demons will use to gain legal entry into your life.

Curses are caused by generational sin, personal sin, spoken word curses, time delayed curses and accursed objects.

The bible identifies many sins that can cause curses. Deuteronomy 27 and 28 are good places to begin your studies about curses.

• Those who refuse to come to the Lord's help (Judges 5:23)

• He who gives not to the poor (Prov. 28:27)
• The earth by reason of man's disobedience (Isa. 24:3-6)
• Jerusalem is a curse to all nations if Jews rebel against God (Jer. 26:6)
• Thieves and those who swear falsely by the Lord's Name (Zech. 5:4)
• Ministers who fail to give the glory to God (Mal. 2:2)
• Those who rob God of tithes and offerings (Mal. 3:9; Haggai 1:6-9)
• Those who hearken unto their wives rather than God (Gen. 3:17)
• Those who lightly esteem their parents (Deut. 27:16)
• Those who make graven images (Deut. 5:8; 27:15)
• Those who willfully cheat people out of their property (Deut. 27:17)
• Those who take advantage of the blind (Deut. 27:18)
• Those oppressing strangers, widows, fatherless (Deut. 27:19)
• He who lies with his father's wife (Deut. 27:20)
• He who lies with his sister (Deut. 27:22)
• Those who smite their neighbors secretly (Deut. 27:24)
• Those who take money to slay the innocent (Deut. 27:25)
• Him who lies with any beast (Deut. 27:21; Ex. 22:19)

• Those who crossdress. (Deut 22:5)
• The proud (Psalm 119:21)
• Those who trust in man and not the Lord (Jer. 48:10)
• Those who do the work of the Lord deceitfully (Jer. 48:10)
• Him who keeps back his sword from blood (Jer. 48:10; I Kings 20:35-42)
• Those who reward evil for good (Prov. 17:13)
• Illegitimate children (Deut. 23:2)
• Murderers (Exodus 21:12)
• To murder indirectly (Exodus 21:14)
• Children who strike their parents (Exodus 21:15)
• Kidnappers (Exodus 21:16)
• Those who curse their parents (Exodus 21:17)
• Those who cause the unborn to die (Exodus 21:22-23)
• Those who do not prevent death (Exodus 21:29)
• Those involved in witchcraft (Exodus 22:18)
• Those who sacrifice to false gods (Exodus 22:20)
• Those who attempt to turn anyone away from the Lord (Deut. 13:6-9)
• Those who follow horoscopes (Deut. 17:2-5)
• Those who rebel against pastors (Deut. 17:12)
• Those involved in pagan, witchcraft and satanic practices (Deut. 18:10-12)
• False prophets (Deut. 18:19-22)
• Women who keep not their virginity until they are married (Deut. 22:13-21)
• Adulterers (Deut. 22:22-27)
• Parents who do not discipline their children, but honor them above God (I Sam. 2:27-36)
• Those who teach rebellion against the Lord (Jer. 28:16-17)
• Those who refuse to warn of sin (Ezek. 3:18-21)
• Those who sacrifice human beings (Lev. 20:2)
• Participants in seances and fortune telling (Lev. 20:6)
• Homosexual and lesbian relationships (Lev. 20:13)
• Sexual intercourse during menstruation (Lev. 20:18)
• Necromancers and fortune tellers (Lev. 20:27)
• Those who blaspheme the Lord's name (Lev. 24:15-16)
• Those who are carnally minded (Romans 8:6)
• Sodomy (oral and anal sex) (Gen. 19:13, 24-25)
• Rebellious children (Deut. 21:18-21)
• Curse upon improper family structure - destruction of family priesthood (Mal. 4:6) with special attention given to the relationship between father and children.
• Curse of idol worship extends to fourth generation of great grandchildren (Exodus 20:1-5)
• Idol worship (Deut. 5:9-10)
• Rebellious children (Deut. 21:18-21)
• Curse of the bastard extends to tenth generation of descendants (Deut. 23:2)

All of these sins and their associated curses can be broken. You must simply apply Galatians 3:13, recognize the sins in your life, repent of the sins and renounce the curses. This of course is not a complete list but is a good introduction to get you started.
